Marketing Goals - 7 Free Tips for Accelerating Growth

Did you know?:

· People with written goals are 50% more likely to achieve than people without goals.

· All motivational 'gurus' agree that goals should be written down and only 3 out of every 100 adults write down their goals down on paper.

Here are 7 Free Tips for Accelerating Growth with Marketing Goals

1. Fine-Tune Your Content Strategy

One of the primary aspects of any marketing campaign is content. The content and value you provide is what will make people want to come back to your brand. If your content strategy is not up to par, people will find other brands that will provide what they need in a better way.

2. Use Chatbots On-Site

More and more, all of your favorite brands are using chatbots on their pages. Run with artificial intelligence, these useful tools will help you improve customer support and customer satisfaction. Chatbots work in tandem with traditional forms of customer support to improve waiting times for clients.

3. Review Your Results

In the world of marketing, there is no such thing as an "over-and-done-with" solution. Your strategies, goals and issue points will grow and change just as your business does. In order to keep ahead, you should do regular reviews of your results in your social media, email, and website analytics. Quarterly or even monthly reviews are ideal.

4. Be Willing to Run Experiments

There will be times where you'll need to implement a strategy where you have no basis of comparison. Let's say you install a revenue channel that is completely new. You won't know what sort of targets will make sense because you don't have any data. A good way of getting that starting point data would be to experiment with that revenue channel for a short time to see the results it yields. Once you get to know it better, you can adjust your goals and your reviews.

5. Set Both Macro and Micro Goals

Sometimes, when defining our quarterly or yearly targets for our business or our division within a company, we focus too much on macro-goals. For example, we need to achieve a certain amount of hits on our website or increase the reach of our email marketing campaign. Those goals need to be met, but we can become too fixated on them to the point of damaging our micro-goals. By setting smaller internal micro-goals we can concentrate on keeping up the quality of our work while still working towards achieving our goals on a macro level.

6. Brainstorm with SWOT

Sometimes, setting our goals is not easy. If you don't know where to start, try brainstorming with the SWOT technique. SWOT means Strengths (internal), Weaknesses (internal), Opportunities (external), and Threats (external). This technique evaluates the internal and external elements that make your brand stand out, as well as identifying which issues might cause you problems and prevent growth.

7. Define Your Objectives

Having defined a measurable, specific and more general goal can help you towards defining your objectives with your team. The objectives should be the stepping stones that will help you reach your goal. It is also important for you to take your target audience into account, as their needs will help you find your objectives.
